Anoverlytight orcrossthreadedsparkplugwilldamagethe

aluminumthreadsof thecylinderhead.

Carefully turn the sparkplugby handinto the threads. If the spark

plugis new,tightenitwitha wrenchabout1/2turnpastfinger tight. If

youarereusingthe oldsparkplug,tightenitwithawrenchabout1/8

turnpastfinger tight.

Dirt coulddamageyourATVif it enteredanopensparkplug holeof

cylinderhead.

Dirt coulddamage engineparts that move.

Coverthe sparkplug hole while the sparkplug is out of the hole.

Tomaintaina properfunctioning sparkplug,keepthe plugfree of carbon.

Removecarbonfrom the plugwithawireor pin,andadjustthe gapto

0.6~0.7ram(.024- .028in)for goodignition.Usea thicknessgaugeto check

the gap.
